3.5 stars!I read this a while back when I was in the mood to read books with marriage of convenience plots. The story starts three years into Molly and Luke Lyon's third year into their marriage of convenience. The two have gotten along perfectly when Molly worked in corporate investigations at Luke's company, and soon the two got into a mutually beneficial arrangement; Luke needed it for his image, and Molly needed it to get over a man who broke her heart. After three years of companionable cohabitation, Luke wants to add a new term to their marriage contract--sex. They agree to sex once a week, but really, could they maintain the arrangement without things getting messy?I enjoyed reading this book. Molly and Luke are both likable characters, and I loved that Luke's not the usual alpha CEO type who's overbearing and caveman-ish. He's kind, reticent, and worked his way up to the top. This story was fairly light, and it was enjoyable to see the two realize their feelings for each other.I would have given a higher rating had the story been longer. It would have been nice to see how the marriage came to be. Since the story opened three years into their marriage, I wasn't as attached to their relationship as I would have been if at least a few things in that three years was shown? Nonetheless, I enjoyed this book, and I'm off to read Noelle Adams' other books. Heehee I just love these marriage of convenience plots!

2.5 stars”Real or not, he was her husband. He was her lover. He was her best friend. He was all she had of a family.”Good for a quick afternoon read, Molly and Luke has a marriage of appearance, and have been married for three years. Luke wanted to add sex to their contract and since Molly wasn't into having to pay for professional services, she agreed. Once a week soon turned into more until it Molly was unable to keep emotions out of it.The story is told from Molly’s POV and Luke was just a mystery to her and us, we never got to know him until the very end. We know he is sweet and is there for Molly in his own way, but I just felt like something is missing, I just wanted ‘more’. The only thing I can really complain about is never knowing why he is the way he is. Regardless I liked it enough to finish it in one sitting.

So this plot was a bit different because instead of starting at the meeting her, negotiating with her, and marrying her, it started with the marriage three years in. I absolutely loved this book. I liked this book so much that the little things I would be criticizing right now won't happen. They got married because it was helpful and convenient, and one day the clause of sex once a week was added to the contract. Even before the clause was added, they worked very well together and gave off the persona as the "perfect couple," and as the story progresses, Molly learns the little things one wouldn't notice about Luke. She falls and falls hard for the man under the everyday facade that the world knew of him.The plot was amazing. The characters are amazing. Damn, Luke is amazing.Soo... he's this hot, composed, sophisticated guy...But then you want too...I'm not sure what to say, JUST READ IT BECAUSE IT MADE ME ALL WARM AND FUZZY!

I really liked this book! The premise was great, the writing was engaging, the chemistry was A+. It even gave me feels in the chest. I LOVE THAT!!The reason this book gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because this book lacked character development and depth. As an analogy, if Teuscher chocolate is 5 stars, this book was a really strong 4star Dove dark chocolate square. That stated, I really liked it! It was short and fun and extremely enjoyable and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to read a short, fun, and extremely enjoyable contemporary romance.

2.5 starsWhen I read the blurb Hell yasss. convenience marriage, check. CEO husband, double check. aaand old lover that finally return, check check check. It sounds like fun and full of angsty for me.Then I read the book.Hmmm.Okay.Where’s Baron the old lover?.....Now, what?Dafuk, really? Seriusan kecewa. Aku kira ceritanya bakal penuh konflik tapi nyatanya malah datar-datar aja menurutku.

Pretty good contemporary romance about a couple on a convenience marriage, they have been together for three years and the last renegotiation of their contract may bring them together or apart…What I liked about this story? The main characters are great, the guy is not an overbearing-toppy-alpha, yes he is a rich business man but he is kind of shy too, charming and vulnerable, the heroin is not a damsel in distress she is an independent (but not too much) business woman who is fun, caring and no one forced her to marry Luke.I also like the development of the story, this was not insta-love, neither was it something that happened in a month, it was something that slowly developed. The author only used one common chick-lit prop (view spoiler)[the thing when they are both in love but they don’t say it to each other (hide spoiler)] but the “big misunderstanding” was not, these characters TALKED to each other, they communicated and apologized (even the guy) when they made mistakes. In the end this was a really enjoyable read, and I’m so glad I got this for free on Amazon or I’ll never would have read it.

So much better than a harlequin!I actually quite adored this novel, the sexual tension and the sensuous emotions running through the story about Luke and Molly. It was a delight getting to know their characters, background and winding myself up i their tale. The novel was so close to perfect for me.

3 starsThis is an honest review. You've been warned. It's a story about two people who got married and made it like business deal. What I liked1. It was a very short, quick read.2. Marriage of convenience.3. Surprising great chemistry between Luke and Molly.4. Second chance. What I disliked1. No actual plotline......This book could be much better if there was an actual story to it. Besides, I've got a lot of questions unanswered regarding Luke's and Molly's herself. I wish too that it's an alternative POV instead of only Molly's. I'm dying to know Luke's thoughts on everything especially on his wife he's fallen in love with.Read on your own peril.

Read more reviews on my blog | Like me on FacebookA Negotiated Marriage by Ms. Adams was on Amazon’s top Free Kindle Books list. I decided to download it after reading a really emotional book and needed something fun and easy to read. A Negotiated Marriage was exactly what I wanted. I read it in less than 90 minutes and it was an extremely easy read.Molly and Luke have been married for three years, but not in the traditional way. They are married for convince and appearances. Luke is CEO of a company and needs a wife on his arm to look like a family man. Molly had her heartbroken by a man who didn't love her in return. Having a marriage without love, or sex was what she wanted in Luke too. After three years, the two decide to change their arrangement and become sexually involved. Their emotions toward each other change and their loveless marriage soon changes into something else.Like I said above, this is an extremely fast read. You start the book three years into Luke and Molly’s marriage and the scenes are quick and short. The book has some erotic scenes that were not over the top and the dialogue was not cheesy. I enjoyed both characters and would have like to have more depth into Luke; he was kind of a mystery to me. He had potential to be an amazing book boyfriend. ;)I think this is a great free book I recommend to anyone wanting a fun read for FREE. If you enjoy books such as this I also recommend Marriage By Mistake by Abby GainesI give A Negotiated Marriage 3 Stars.

A MARRIAGE OF CONVENIENCEMolly has been married to Luke for three years. She had been badly burned by a former lover who did not return her feelings. Luke's offer of marriage, came at just the right time in her life. Swearing never to fall in love again. She settled down to an uncomplicated and romance free marriage with Luke. Then suddenly after three years, Luke wants to alter their arrangement. By adding sex into the mix. Molly agrees to the new arrangement, after all she does miss sex, and at least here with Luke it would be free from any emotional ties. Wouldn't it?I liked this story. I liked Luke and Molly, they were easy to relate to. As another reviewer commented this is a bit Mills & Boon-ish. Except for the stronger language. The sex scenes are nicely portrayed as well.If I had a problem with this, it was that the story was a bit light on detail. The reader is told a lot without being shown. I would liked to have seen Molly question Luke as to why he suddenly had asked to have sex with her after three years. It also didn't make sense that she would not have been a little more concerned as he had been having sex with call girls. Most women would have required an assurance that he was healthy. These things are very briefly referred to via Molly's thoughts. But that seemed inadequate to me. But this is a very pleasant read overall.

I really enjoyed this!!! I read it in one sitting, it was so fun. Marriage of convenience is always the best and I thought starting the story a couple of years into it was a nice twist. At first I worried that renegotiating the terms to include sex was going to be kind of creepy but they dealt with the issue very well. In general, this was my favorite thing about this: how they were great at communicating, and weren't torn apart by dumb misunderstandings. I love how they respected each other and how they worked super well together. I thought the sex scenes weren't out of this world but they were nice and they felt very real (I loved that they remained themselves throughout instead of becoming faceless porn stars). I loved that they couldn't keep their hands off each other and cursed the once-a-week rule. Basically this was a lot of fun!!(Part of the Loving the CEO pack, on sale for less than a buck - definitely worth it if only for this one!)

Marriage arrangement is one of my guilty pleasures when it comes to romance tropes, so I didn't hesitate when I picked this book. I didn't regret it, I liked reading A negotiated Marriage. Though predictable, the story is good and develops at a credible rythm. I was pleasantly surprised that the story takes place, not when the hero and heroine decide to enter a fake marriage, but after they've been married for 3 years already _ it's a great twist of the usual trope, and it made things even more interesting in terms of the evolution of the characters' relationship. Contrary to what the blurb may lead to believe, this isn't erotica, even though the sex is sensuous and well-written. I regretted a bit to be offered only Molly's POV, I really would have appreciated to have Luke's insight of the situation too.

This is the kind of novel where you know exactly what's going to happen - from the beginning until the very end. There's nothing original or very special about it. You don't have to concentrate hard because it's so easy to read. And yet I really liked this novel, it was quite enjoyable, a quick (and hot) read and very entertaining. Also, the characters are a huge bonus because they are not perfect and really cute. So, four stars for this - though definitely not flawless - enjoyable light summer read.

“You’re beautiful,” Luke said thickly, gazing down at her like he meant it. “I’ve never seen anything more beautiful in my life.”

This was much better than expected. I got this book for .99C and even though I had told myself I would stop reading these type of contemporary, NA, and or self published books (mostly due to the repetitiveness of the stories and lack of editing); I could not help myself and read this one. I'm a new Kindle owner and they keep sending me this free and very inexpensive book offers. I get them, I'm not sure if I want to read them, but they're there...and well... It's like leaving food left over in you plate and hearing your mother's scolding in the back of your head. Anyway, this is the story of Molly and Luke. They had a marriage of convenience. Their marriage had work fine under all the negotiated terms, until 3 years into the marriage Luke offered a change in terms. Until then, their marriage did not include sex, but Luke wanted to change that. Molly agrees and the story takes off to show us what the consequences of this change are. This story is told from Molly's perspective and she is really upfront and center in the story. Even Luke remains in shadow for most of the book. I really liked Molly, she was smart, assertive, professional woman, who owned and was excellent in her own business. She never came off as snarky or *itchy. Even in the limited view we had of Luke, Molly made us see how he was aloof at the beginning but he was always kind and respectful to her. The book mainly focuses on how the relationship develops.I found the story, characters and relationship to be very mature and realistic. Arranged marriages happen all the time. There are cultures still where couples marry for reasons other than love. This is how I imagine how mature, decent adults would behave in such a case.It was a quick read. I'm giving it more importance and depth than it probably carried, but I was surprised, specially when considering how jaded I was getting over the poor quality of other stories I've been torturing myself with.Only major complain I have with this, is the editing. There were some grammatical errors that could have been cleaned with closer editing.

6/07 - I was surprised at the quality of A Negotiated Marriage considering the fact that I only paid 99 cents for it. There was only 2 editing mistakes, that I saw. The story was, for the most part written well with an above average plot and above average dialogue. At 175 pages this was longer than the average Kindle romance novella which gave Adams enough time to give some depth to Molly and Luke's personalities. Molly and Luke's desire to up the sex from once a week to more often, without any actual guidelines as to how often, was pretty predictable but I was enjoying the story enough that it didn't bother me or interrupt my enjoyment.

If I had realized this was the same author as Claire Kent, I wouldn't have bothered. It has the same problems: it describes problems, conflicts, and conversations in exposition that it should demonstrate in the narrative; the heroine's issues from an earlier relationship are stated over and over again, but not otherwise demonstrated until the very end. This one also suffers from an ex-boyfriend who shows up to cause dramatic realizations and jealousy at the end for no plausible reason, after having been in all of one scene earlier.

There is an interfering ex - he wants her back when he sees that she is moving on from their breakup. It is not the true focus of the story. This is more about the relationship/re-negotiations of marriage terms of the H/h. 3.5 stars

So, the reason I read this books was because I was going to start a very tough classic and I wanted something quick to read before that. And since I am a big fan of arranged marriage trope, I decide to choose one from the Goodreads list.Given below are my own unbiased opinions. You can read this review on my blog too COOL WITH BOOKS A Negotiated Marriage by Noelle AdamsI have mixed emotions about the book. On one hand I absolutely adored Luke, but on the other hand I felt that the author had not done a good job on completely removing the veil between the readers and the characters. On one hand I felt like meh after reading this but on the other hand, some scenes from the book keep replaying itself in my mind. I guess it was just one of those books, that felt flat while reading but had many memorable scenes that may make me cherish this book. As I said , It is a mixed bag of motions. So, I will make a list of pros and cons and you can decide for yourself, if you want to read ( it was 100 something pages and took me less than two hours. So, you don't have to invest much time in this).Pros1.The story starts not when they enter a fake marriage but three years after it. I love this unique little twist.2.The characters were well developed. I loved the fact that Molly had her own job and could stand on her own feet even without her billionaire husbands help. She was an independent career woman who did not liking taking her husbands. Since she believed she was not in a real marriage. Luke was adorable.3.Even though it was told from Molly's point of view, I could understand Luke's perspective too. The author has done a wonderful job on that. It reminded me of Tangled by Emma Chase, where despite being told from the hero's POV, you could understand the heroin's emotions as clear as the sky ( although the hero was not as perceptive as us. Hihi)4.It was short.Cons1.It was short, so the author instead of showing many scenes has told them. Molly says that she is heartbroken about her Ex-flame but the past scenes are not really well shown. She says that Luke is shy and charming but its not strongly shown. So many things were told instead of shown that I felt like I was reading through a detailed summary of the novel.2.It had potential, so much potential, if only the author had quit writing the novel, as if it was an essay.3.In the blurb, it says about the returning Ex-flame, but that dude just has a few lines utmost. He is just there as an excuse for Molly and Luke to get married and then again to provide material for the pivotal moment.4.There was almost no character development of the secondary characters, I understand that the length of the book was a limitation. But it cannot be an excuse, considering the amount of words spent on describing frivolous things. It was like a movie with only two characters but with lots and lots of cameos ( Reminded me of Madonna's song- Bitch I am Madonna, I came to know about the barely 2 second cameos in it, after I saw its parody)The book fell flat for me.So, My final rating would be Rating: 1/5 Well on second thought I am changing my rating on account of the few memorable scenes. Updated Final Rating: 2/5Now I am going to read my classic.
